Kerajaan lulus peruntukan tambahan RM147j bina Kompleks Istana Negara

KUALA LUMPUR 18 Okt. – Kerajaan bersetuju meluluskan peruntukan tambahan sebanyak RM147 juta bagi menampung kos-kos yang tidak termasuk dalam kontrak asal untuk pembinaan Kompleks Istana Negara yang baru di Jalan Duta.

Menteri Kerja Raya, Datuk Seri Shaziman Abu Mansor berkata, jumlah itu menjadikan kos keseluruhan pembinaan bangunan itu sebanyak RM797 juta.

‘‘Kos tambahan itu adalah untuk meningkatkan sistem kawalan keselamatan, bayaran sumbangan modal kepada syarikat-syarikat utiliti dan lain-lain kos berkaitan termasuk hiasan dalaman,’’ katanya dalam jawapan bertulis bagi pertanyaan yang dikemukakan Lim Lip Eng (DAP-Segambut) di Dewan Rakyat hari ini.

Katanya, kos asal yang ditetapkan bagi membina Istana Negara itu adalah sebanyak RM650 juta tetapi ia tidak melibatkan beberapa skop komponen projek yang sepatutnya diambil kira untuk melengkapkan keseluruhan istana tersebut.

Dalam pada itu, beliau berkata, pembinaan kompleks itu juga memerlukan jalan akses yang sempurna dan dalam konteks itu, kos kontrak bagi pembinaan jalan susur keluar masuk ke kawasan telah ditetapkan kerajaan.

“Persimpangan Bertingkat Istana Negara dari Jalan Duta ditetapkan berjumlah RM106 juta iaitu penjimatan berbanding anggaran kos asal sebanyak RM130 juta dan RM32.5 juta bagi kos menaik taraf Jalan Changkat Semantan,” katanya.

Katanya, kos operasi dan pengurusan kompleks itu akan ditentukan setelah keseluruhan projek tersebut siap sepenuhnya pada 30 Jun 2011.

WAYNE Rooney is one of those footballers who wants to play and score goals even when he is 50 per cent fit.

And I think Sir Alex Ferguson is genuinely trying to protect him, both from injury and from the bad press he is getting regarding his private life.

Wayne is his own man and thinks he knows better. But I'd have to come down on the side of Alex when he says he's not playing Wayne because of an injury.

I think Wayne has been a bit disrespectful in saying, 'I'm grand'. He is basically saying Alex is a spoofer.

If players go against Alex he will sort them out. No player has gone up against him and won. Fabulous players, such as David Beckham and Ruud van Nistelrooy, have tried and lost.

I went up against Alex and lost. Me and Norman Whiteside were injured and went for a few drinks. Eventually, he had me and Norman out of the club.

Norman was one of the fans' favourites, but he had no hesitation in casting him aside like a rag doll.

Alex lives and dies by his decisions and no one can question what he has won over the years.

Wayne needs to realise when he is being protected by the manager.

He couldn't have a better person than Sir Alex Ferguson to guide him.

It will be a bad idea for Wayne to move to Real Madrid.

Wayne Rooney has told his Manchester United team-mates that he WILL consider a move from Old Trafford to neighbours Manchester City.

After Wayne Rooney went against his manager's comments about an ankle injury dogging him all season, claiming that he had no such problem, he has given Ferguson a dilemma.

Whether Ferguson rests his out-of-form striker, maintaining his stance that he is not fully fit, or plays him against West Brom, the decision will be heavily scrutinised.

I think he will say to Rooney that if he has no problem with his ankle, go out on to the pitch and prove it. In doing so he will deflect the attention back on to Rooney. If he thrives, he has got his star man back, and if he struggles then he is vindicated.

It's clear that Rooney's head is still not right, and with his loss of form coming at a time when his contract is up at the end of next season, he is suddenly in a precarious position.

There has been talk about interest from Real Madrid recently, but there is just as much chance of that being stirred by agents as having any basis in fact. Besides, after the way he has played since the end of last season, why would he be wanted at the Bernabeu?

Rooney needs to think very carefully about his next move. To come out and openly defy Ferguson, after all the support he has received through such a difficult time in both his personal and professional life, means he is walking a very fine line.
